Job Overview: 

We are currently looking to hire a Lead Data Analyst within the Enterprise Data and Information Services team, which is a part of LPL’s Technology organization. This position is responsible for providing data expertise in one or more data domains. The individual in this role will establish and promote a deep understanding and awareness of data in the specific domain, serve as a lead data analyst and data champion on data projects, and adhere to an enterprise-wide data governance framework to achieve the highest level of consistency, quality, and protection of data.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition, documentation, and management of data requirements, business rules, and data standards for assigned enterprise data domains.
  • Conduct data analysis and data profiling activities to identify data quality issues, validate business requirements, and support data management initiatives.
  • Partner with Data Stewards, Data Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to establish and maintain authoritative data sources and ensure alignment with enterprise data standards.
  • Develop and maintain key data management artifacts, including data lineage documentation, data mappings, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and data catalogs.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Data Modelers and technology teams to create and enhance conceptual and logical data models that align with the Enterprise Data Model.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of data governance practices by promoting consistent definitions, standards, and processes across the organization.
  • Investigate and assist in resolving data quality and data integrity issues through root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on enterprise data domains and influence data design decisions to support business and technology objectives.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data management, data governance, and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts related to data lifecycle management, governance processes, standards, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Management, or Data Development.
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including DDL, DML, and data profiling.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and Data Lake platforms.
  • Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling using Erwin or similar tools.
  • Experience developing and maintaining enterprise data management artifacts (data dictionaries, catalogs, lineage, glossaries, and metadata repositories).
