Summary/Objective
The Global Product Manager – Emergency Response owns and manages the global product portfolio for the designated segment with the objective of driving profitable growth in existing and new markets. The position is accountable for product strategy, portfolio optimization, pricing, margins, product lifecycle management, and development of a robust innovation pipeline aligned with the company's global business strategy.
The role has two primary areas of responsibility: portfolio management and product strategy and innovation. Success requires close collaboration and influence across Marketing, Sales, R&D, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and other global functions.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute global product strategies, visions, and roadmaps aligned with company growth objectives, market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Partner with the Global Emergency Response Market Manager to translate industry trends, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and end-user needs into product strategies and priorities.
- Own the product portfolio throughout the product lifecycle, including product introduction, growth, optimization, repositioning, rationalization, and discontinuation.
- Optimize product mix, SKU portfolio, pricing, margins, and profitability while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and portfolio improvement.
- Establish product pricing and margin targets based on market conditions, competitive dynamics, costs, and business objectives.
- Monitor key product performance indicators, including revenue, margin, profitability, market share, cost savings, customer feedback, and product adoption, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps and communicate strategy, priorities, resource requirements, and risks to management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Innovation & New Product Development
- Lead product ideation and prioritization activities and maintain a robust innovation pipeline aligned with product strategy and market opportunities.
- Lead development of business cases for new products in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Operations, and other functions.
- Ensure business cases appropriately consider market demand, competition, financial return, risk, regulatory requirements, intellectual property, and development complexity.
- Lead Voice of Customer activities and translate customer and end-user needs into clear product requirements.
- Lead Product Management responsibilities within the Stage-Gate process from ideation and business case development through launch and post-launch review.
- Coordinate cross-functional development activities to ensure products meet customer requirements, financial objectives, timelines, and commercialization goals.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop product positioning, value propositions, messaging, go-to-market plans, and customer support materials.
Global & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to successfully execute product strategies and development initiatives.
- Collaborate with global R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Quality, and Innovation teams.
- Develop effective relationships with strategic suppliers and identify opportunities for technology, innovation, and joint development partnerships.
- Support global market expansion by identifying product, portfolio, and commercialization opportunities across North America, Europe, Asia, South America, and other applicable markets.
- Provide product expertise and support to Sales, Marketing, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Supervisory Responsibility

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, and smartphones.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand, and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, kneel and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
Travel
This position requires up to 30% travel including international.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Textiles, or a related field.
- Five or more years’ work experience of Product Management, Product Portfolio Management, or a related discipline, preferably in an international business environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing products or portfolios through the product lifecycle.
- Experience with product strategy, pricing, margin management, portfolio optimization, or product profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience working with complex global value chains, including suppliers, manufacturing, customers, and strategic partners.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior experience in Emergency Response markets and knowledge of the international markets.
