This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, PPL Technology based in Canada.
This is a high-impact product leadership role focused on transforming the technology ecosystem supporting people and workplace experiences. You will own product strategy and roadmap for an assigned HR or People & Places technology domain, from problem definition through delivery and optimization. Working across engineering, experience design, HR Centers of Excellence, and senior leadership, you will turn complex business needs into scalable product solutions. The role combines strategic ownership, technical fluency, stakeholder influence, and hands-on product execution in a highly autonomous environment. You will help build a unified experience and intelligence layer across HR technology while protecting organizational data, logic, and insights. As AI continues to reshape enterprise products, you will evaluate emerging capabilities and integrate AI thoughtfully into product decisions and workflows. Accountabilities:
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and priorities for an assigned People & Places technology domain, applying build-versus-buy principles and structured portfolio evaluation frameworks.
- Maintain visibility across the tools, vendors, and contracts within the domain, supporting renewal, consolidation, divestment, and investment decisions with clear business cases.
- Translate ambiguous employee and business challenges into actionable product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
- Own the experience and intelligence layer built above core systems such as Workday, ensuring the organization retains control of its business logic and insights.
- Partner closely with engineering teams throughout discovery, development, delivery, and launch, serving as the accountable product voice.
- Evaluate AI capabilities through a data ownership and vendor-capture lens while using AI-enabled tools directly for research, analysis, prioritization, and execution.
- Build alignment and trust across technical and business stakeholders, influencing significant decisions without relying on formal authority.
- Drive adoption of new products and centralized technology models, helping stakeholders navigate change while maintaining strong relationships.
- Define and monitor domain-level KPIs, dashboards, and leading indicators that connect product performance with broader people strategy.
- Proactively identify portfolio risks, redundancies, opportunities, and emerging needs, bringing actionable recommendations to leadership before issues escalate.
- Develop new domain, technical, and product expertise quickly as technology, tools, and organizational priorities evolve.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of product management experience, with ownership of products or platforms from definition through delivery and ongoing operations.
- Proven ability to operate with significant autonomy, establish direction, and influence senior stakeholders on important product decisions.
- Strong experience partnering directly with engineering teams to scope, prioritize, sequence, and deliver technical initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in ambiguous environments where requirements, ownership, and solutions are not yet fully defined.
- Strong learning agility, with a track record of quickly developing expertise in new domains, tools, and technical capabilities and applying that knowledge under real deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and business concepts for diverse audiences.
- Experience with HR or people technology platforms such as Workday, Eightfold, learning systems, or talent management platforms is an asset.
- Experience building or scaling internal enterprise products, data platforms, or integration services is preferred.
- Familiarity with generative AI or AI-assisted tools used within product management workflows is advantageous.
- Experience in a high-ownership, high-velocity product environment where senior product managers proactively identify opportunities and solve problems with limited oversight.

- Base salary: CAD $124,700–$182,875 for Canada-based roles, with offers determined by experience and geographic location and potentially exceeding the stated range.
