Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a senior, customer-facing Cybersecurity Lead Technologist to act as the regional Subject Matter Expert and technical evangelist for Check Point across India. You will drive technical strategy, lead complex solution design and POCs, influence product roadmaps, and accelerate large strategic deals while representing Check Point to customers, partners, and industry forums.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the regional technical SME and trusted advisor for strategic customers, engaging across C-level, Security Architects, DevOps, cloud and application teams.
- Lead design and architecture of complex network and security solutions, partnering with Systems Engineering to translate customer requirements into operational plans.
- Deliver hands-on demonstrations, custom POCs/POVs, and technical workshops to validate solutions and drive adoption.
- Influence product roadmaps by articulating field requirements to Product Management, R&D, and Engineering.
- Identify and accelerate upsell/cross-sell opportunities and support achievement of seven-figure deals.
- Evangelize Check Point solutions at conferences, webinars, and customer events; create technical content (blogs, videos, webinars).
- Mentor and enable SE teams; develop training materials and ensure smooth handover of technical solutions.
- Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends (Zero Trust, Cloud, Endpoint, IoT, AI/ML, Threat Intel, Incident Response), and drive competitive strategies.
- Define success metrics, operationalize initiatives, and report progress using data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- 15+ years in cybersecurity, network engineering, or systems engineering with strong customer-facing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to influence C-level and technical stakeholders and win large strategic opportunities.
- Deep expertise across network security, Zero Trust, cloud security, endpoint, IoT, threat intelligence, and incident response.
- Hands-on skills: solution architecture, POC delivery, CLI usage, CLI automation, and rack-and-stack level design.
- Experience with scalable, distributed systems and tiered application/network load balancing across public and private clouds.
- Proven content creation and thought leadership: speaker at conferences/meetups, blogs, webinars, podcasts.
- Strong communicator in English (written and verbal); excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed environment and driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Industry certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, vendor certs) preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
