Full description

We are seeking an Engineering Manager / Team Lead for a team developing and maintaining business-critical ERP solutions (Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central) used across the Baltic countries and Sweden. Our teams are transitioning to a product engineering model - where engineers take ownership of the features they build, understand the business context, and ensure quality through testing. This role is key in leading that shift while strengthening the team and ensuring reliable delivery.

The team already has strong domain and technical expertise, so we also welcome seasoned Scrum Masters without prior formal Team Lead or people-management experience who are ready to step into leadership and work hard to make real change happen.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Take responsibility for delivery quality, timelines, and commitments
  • Own the technical roadmap—including modernization, tech debt reduction, and code quality
  • Drive and continuously improve engineering practices across the team
  • Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to keep the team aligned with business outcomes
  • Help the team grow into product ownership, understanding what we build, why, and for whom
  • Lead and help engineers develop through 1:1s, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
  • Strengthen testing practices and integrate them into everyday development
  • Contribute to code reviews, release processes, and architecture discussions

We are looking for a colleague who has:

  • 5+ years software engineering experience with at least 2 years in engineering management / team lead roles or a seasoned Scrum Master ready to step into a leadership role (prior formal people-management experience is not required)
  • Strong technical expertise in at least one modern programming language or platform (e.g., C#, Python, Java, PHP, X++, ABAP)
  • Ability to guide technical decisions and ensure engineering quality in your domain
  • Product mindset - ability to understand problems deeply and drive end to end ownership
  • Experience leading teams through process or cultural changes - not just adopting new tools, but changing how people work
  • Solid understanding of testing, monitoring, observability, and code quality practices
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative approach

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central (C/AL, AL)
  • Experience with AL test code units or other ERP-native testing approaches
  • Understanding of pharmacy, supply chain, retail, or finance domains
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker-based development, AL extensions)
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum ways of working

We offer:

  • Benefit package, including private health insurance, critical illness and accident coverage, additional leave days, travel insurance, free parking, and financial support in case of unfortunate events
  • Training budget for ongoing professional development
  • Performance-based bonus
  • Flexible working hours
  • Career growth opportunities within the Company and the Group
  • Salary (6200 – 7200 eur gross per month, depending on your experience and competencies)
