Job Summary

Responsible for supporting enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, data reconciliation, and variance analysis activities. Assists in the development and distribution of financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations that provide actionable insights to senior leadership, internal business partners, and external clients. Supports operational and strategic decision-making through financial analysis, forecast modeling, performance reporting, and identification of business trends and variances. Partners with finance and business leaders to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and organizational performance.

This position is classified as hybrid and requires attendance in office, Monday - Wednesday in Minneapolis, MN.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the preparation and consolidation of annual operating budgets, long-range plans, and periodic forecasts in partnership with finance and business leaders.
  • Supports monthly financial close and reporting processes through data validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and explains variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes recurring and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, scorecards, and management presentations.
  • Prepares revenue, expense, headcount, cost, and other financial forecasts and schedules to support business planning and operational decision-making.
  • Performs financial analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers; evaluates potential business initiatives for financial and strategic feasibility.
  • Extracts, reviews, analyzes, and interprets transactional and financial data and recommends appropriate accruals, adjustments, corrective actions, or process improvements as needed.
  • Analyzes workflows, reporting processes, and data structures to improve efficiency, data integrity, reporting accuracy, and overall effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with business partners and management to communicate results, support effective business management, and deliver timely, accurate financial information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, or a related finance function
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts, budgeting, forecasting, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to FP&A, ERP, or business intelligence tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Workday, Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis, with working knowledge of relational database concepts and experience using enterprise data integration, ETL, or reporting tools such as Informatica, Alteryx, SSIS, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience designing or maintaining recurring reports, financial modeling, dashboards, data reconciliations, and management presentation materials.
  • General business knowledge and exposure to a variety of business situations, operational processes, or performance reporting environments.

The pay range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, peer and market benchmarks, and geographic location.
