Role Overview
As a Salesforce Technical Architect for the Platform Team at Cabin, you will serve as a trusted technical leader and strategic advisor, playing a pivotal role in the architecture, strategy, and successful delivery of enterprise software solutions. Bridging the gap between complex business needs and robust technical implementations, you will lead the solution design across Salesforce multi-cloud platforms. Responsibilities
- Architecture & Technical Strategy: Own the architecture and technical strategy of assigned platform solutions, ensuring Salesforce multi-cloud environments (Sales, Service, Experience, Data Cloud) are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client business objectives.
- Enterprise Systems Integration: Design and oversee integration architectures connecting Salesforce with back-end enterprise systems, data warehouses, and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), employing REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architecture, and large data volume strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication & Alignment: Communicate directly with client stakeholders and executive leaders to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical solutions, architectural roadmaps, and requirements.
- Governance & Quality Assurance: Define and enforce development standards, data governance, security protocols, and platform limit management, balancing short-term delivery goals with long-term technical health.
- DevOps & Release Management: Establish and advocate for modern release practices, scratch org strategies, automated CI/CD pipelines, and version control tooling tailored to Salesforce (e.g., Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset).
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Represent platform engineering in cross-functional discussions with product strategists, experience designers, and client leadership, advocating for technical capabilities and strategic alignment.
- Risk Management & Design Reviews: Proactively identify architectural risks, surface platform blockers, and conduct thorough technical design and code reviews to maintain quality, security, and scalability across deliverables.
- Mentorship & Team Enablement: Mentor Senior and Associate Engineers, setting high standards for technical excellence, guiding work delegation, and fostering continuous learning and career growth across the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Proven Technical Delivery Leadership: 8+ years of experience in software architecture and software engineering, with a proven track record of leading technical delivery for complex enterprise platforms from inception through deployment.
- Extensive Salesforce Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions, with deep expertise in declarative platform capabilities, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and multi-cloud architectures.
- Salesforce Certifications: Active Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or Certified Technical Architect (CTA) are highly preferred.
- Integration Architecture: Demonstrated capability to architect complex integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems using middleware, event-driven architectures, APIs, and identity/SSO frameworks.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, business owners, and C-suite executives.
- Consultancy & Client Engagement: Experience working within a consultancy or professional services environment, demonstrating the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced client settings.
- Modern Engineering & DevOps Practices: Strong proficiency with Salesforce DX, automated testing, Git, and modern CI/CD release pipelines.
- Mentorship & Team Development: A strong track record of mentoring engineers, fostering team growth, and leading through influence and technical craftsmanship.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional technical experience.
