Senior Product Manager

North Hospitality - Remote

Join the hospitality experts. Imagine delivering sophisticated hospitality technology, simplified payment processing, and award-winning support to some of the top restaurants in the U.S.

North is seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically proficient Senior Product Manager to drive the execution of our product roadmap and oversee the delivery of innovative, high-impact solutions in the payments and fintech space. You will serve as the technical backbone of the product team, collaborating closely with multiple Agile engineering teams to translate strategic vision into actionable, detailed requirements and deliverables. Daily decisions include prioritization, value, timelines, risk management, and functionality for the Developer Experience Team’s product. The Product Manager is able to understand not only the business needs and value, but has an understanding of the technical and system aspects impacted by the projects and business needs.

As the Senior Product Manager, you will dig deep into technical details, coordinate complex cross-functional initiatives, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and customer value. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing workflows using Jira and other product management tools, and will play a key role in aligning internal and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical complexity, is relentless about details, can drive order out from multiple competing priorities, and is passionate about building products for developers in FinTech.

What you'll do:

  • Technical Product Ownership: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned product areas, from ideation through delivery and ongoing optimization, with a strong emphasis on technical requirements and system integrations.
  • Deep Technical Engagement: Work closely with Agile engineering teams (internal and external) to break down complex business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Agile Leadership: Act as Product Owner for one or more products, providing clear vision, direction, and detailed requirements. Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization using Jira.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Gather and synthesize input from internal teams (engineering, product, leadership, sales, and support) and external partners/customers. Ensure alignment and transparency around product decisions, progress, and trade-offs.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop and own processes and tools to collect, analyze, and present data that informs prioritization, risk management, and release planning.
  • Release & Roadmap Management: Own and maintain a detailed product roadmap and backlog. Ensure visibility and communication of progress, risks, and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet North’s Definition of Ready and Definition of Done. Proactively manage escalations and communicate impact of expedited or unplanned work.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with other Product Managers and leadership to refine and improve product management best practices across North.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s (BA or BS) or equivalent experience.
  • Four years previous experience as a Product Manager, Product Engineer, Product Analyst, or similar technical product roles.
  • Proven experience working with Agile software development teams.
  • Strong proficiency with Jira and modern product management software.
  • Product Owner Certification (CSPO, etc.) preferred.
  • Payments or fintech industry experience highly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and technical depth; able to dive into system architecture, APIs, and data flows.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices; experience as a Product Owner on Scrum teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex business and technical problems into actionable requirements and deliverables.
  • Skilled in backlog management, roadmap planning, and cross-team coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to leverage data to drive prioritization and decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-value products.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Innovative thinker who embraces change and continuous improvement.
