Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with 14–16 years of software engineering experience, including strong technical expertise and proven experience in Technology, People leadership and project delivery.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading cross-functional engineering teams covering frontend development, backend development, UI/UX, quality assurance, data engineering, and data management. The role requires a strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, enterprise data platforms, and the ability to manage people, projects, technical execution, delivery commitments, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams consisting of frontend developers, backend developers, UI/UX designers, quality engineers, and data engineers.
  • Provide technical direction and ensure engineering solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with product and business requirements.
  • Participate in solution-design discussions and review technical approaches across frontend, backend, integration, UX, testing, and data platforms.
  • Establish and promote engineering standards, coding practices, design principles, review processes, and quality expectations.
  • Ensure appropriate technical decisions are made while balancing business priorities, delivery timelines, quality, technical debt, and long-term maintainability.
  • Drive continuous improvements in software development, data engineering, testing, integration, and delivery practices.
  • Encourage reuse of common components, services, data pipelines, design patterns, and engineering frameworks.
  • Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product management, UX, quality, data teams, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop software engineers, technical leads, designers, quality engineers, and data engineers.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide feedback, and support individual career-development plans.
  • Set clear goals, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify individual and team skill gaps and create appropriate development and training plans.
  • Build a strong engineering culture based on ownership, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Support employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
  • Recognize high performance and provide opportunities for professional growth.
  • Address performance or team-related issues proactively and constructively.
  • Support hiring activities, including interviewing, candidate evaluation, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  • Develop succession plans and identify potential future technical and people leaders.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration within the engineering organization.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
