This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Analyst, CS Commercial Operations based in United States.

This role combines advanced data analysis with business strategy to solve complex challenges across Customer Success and commercial operations. You will partner with senior leaders to uncover insights that improve business performance, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency. The position offers significant technical autonomy, with responsibility for creating scalable, reproducible data assets that serve as trusted sources of truth. You will influence strategic decisions across areas such as pricing, retention, go-to-market planning, and revenue growth. Using large datasets, advanced SQL, analytical modeling, and AI-enabled workflows, you will translate complex information into actionable recommendations. You will also contribute to a collaborative analytics community, sharing expertise, mentoring peers, and raising analytical standards across the organization. Accountabilities

  • Serve as a strategic analytics partner to business stakeholders, identifying opportunities to apply data and shaping how analysis is used to support decision-making.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to understand business challenges, translate them into analytical questions, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis of customer and user behavior to identify issues, trends, opportunities, and potential improvements to customer experience and business performance.
  • Develop and evaluate commercial models, including return on investment and lifetime value analyses, and forecast trends to support near-term operational and strategic decisions.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as pricing and business model transformation, customer retention programs, go-to-market strategies, and annual Customer Success revenue planning.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, reproducible data assets that improve efficiency, consistency, and confidence in enterprise-scale analytics.
  • Write performant and complex SQL queries and conduct reproducible analysis in code-based or notebook environments.
  • Communicate findings through clear, data-driven recommendations and help stakeholders translate insights into concrete plans and actions.
  • Collaborate across business functions to combine quantitative analysis with open-ended strategic research and inform product and operational roadmaps.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence tools to accelerate research, analysis, and project execution while maintaining analytical rigor and high-quality standards.
  • Contribute to a high-performing analytics community by sharing best practices, providing feedback, and coaching or mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements

  • Academic or professional experience with a strong quantitative, analytical, or data-focused foundation.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a trusted analytical advisor to business teams and influencing strategic or operational decisions through data.
  • Strong experience working with large datasets, including data mining, manipulation, exploration, and interpretation in fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to develop complex, performant queries and work efficiently with enterprise-scale data environments.
  • Experience conducting analysis in code-based or notebook environments and building reproducible analytical workflows.
  • Proven ability to develop commercial models such as return on investment and lifetime value, as well as forecast trends to guide business decisions.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools and workflows to improve analytical processes, increase efficiency, and scale project execution without compromising rigor.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations and present strategies and outcomes to senior and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams and business functions.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrate sound judgment, and take ownership of analytical projects from problem definition through implementation.
  • Passion for developing others and contributing to a collaborative analytics community through knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Availability to work within North American time zones, particularly Eastern or Central Time, depending on team alignment.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship is required.
  • Experience building AI agents or other analytical solutions that help teams solve recurring problems is a plus.
