The Conflicts Data Analyst plays a critical role within the Intake & Conflict Services department, supporting the firm's risk management and conflicts clearance processes. The Conflicts Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of conflicts-related data, with a primary focus on corporate tree structures and entity relationships within the firm's conflicts and financial databases. The Conflicts Data Analyst will review the existing database for accuracy of information and monitor corporate activity and market developments to ensure internal data remains current and reliable.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update conflicts database records, with a focus on corporate tree information including parent-subsidiary and affiliated entity relationships.
  • Research and link parent and child company clients within the conflicts database to ensure accurate entity mapping.
  • Regularly monitor mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions through multiple news sources and research tools, assessing their impact on existing conflicts data.
  • Update database records promptly and accurately in response to corporate structure changes identified through M&A monitoring.
  • Collaborate with ICS team members to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Work cross-functionally with data stakeholders in other administrative departments, primarily Finance and Firm Intelligence, to ensure consistency and alignment of firm data across systems.
  • Assist with quality control reviews of conflicts data to identify and correct gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Support broader ICS operations as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and organize large volumes of data accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with ICS team members and administrative departments.
  • Strong commitment to client service, ethical conduct, and firm values.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in remote, hybrid, and in-office environments.

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in corporate research, identifying affiliate relationships, data monitoring, and/or database maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in research tools and online databases.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a law firm, legal research, or library environment.
  • Prior experience in a conflicts or risk management role beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Dunn & Bradstreet as well as concepts of corporate affiliates and Global Ultimate Owners beneficial.
  • Familiarity with legal conflicts software (e.g., Intapp), financial software (e.g., Aderant), or enterprise database systems.
  • Knowledge of corporate structures, entity types, and M&A transactions.
