This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Network Engineer II based in the United States.
This is a senior-level network engineering opportunity focused on the architecture, reliability, and security of a complex enterprise network environment. You will own standards across switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, and voice/telephony infrastructure while serving as a Tier 3 escalation authority. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with architecture, vendor management, security, and cross-functional collaboration. You will influence network design across multiple practice locations and support both new implementations and complex infrastructure changes. The position offers the opportunity to mentor other network professionals and help shape evolving IT standards and platforms. You will work closely with security, systems, projects, and external technology partners to deliver integrated and resilient solutions. This is a fully remote role with regular site travel as needed, with candidates in South Florida particularly encouraged to apply.

Accountabilities
- Own network architecture, engineering standards, and technical integrity across enterprise switching, routing, wireless, perimeter firewalls, and voice/telephony environments.
- Lead technical and design reviews for practice-side network changes, new implementations, and complex infrastructure initiatives.
- Serve as the Tier 3 escalation authority for major network incidents, diagnosing complex issues and driving them through to resolution.
- Evaluate network tools, platforms, and vendors while balancing cost, complexity, performance, reliability, and security.
- Provide technical mentorship to Network Engineers and Administrators and promote consistent architecture and engineering standards.
- Represent the network domain in security reviews, audits, compliance activities, and the ongoing evolution of the IT Standards Matrix.
- Partner with project teams to plan and deliver complex network initiatives, ensuring effective technical handoffs and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering on network, systems, and identity integration points to design cohesive infrastructure solutions.
- Manage strategic relationships with internet service providers and telecommunications vendors.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and provide occasional on-site support at practice locations as required.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive network engineering experience, with strong expertise across enterprise switching, routing, wireless, and firewall technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered. A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Demonstrated experience with voice and telephony technologies, including VoIP, SIP trunking, UCaaS, or contact center platforms.
- Strong architectural judgment and the ability to evaluate solutions across security, cost, complexity, scalability, and operational considerations.
- Experience with technologies such as Aruba switching/wireless, Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet, Auvik, and ServiceNow is an asset.
- Healthcare industry experience and/or Managed Service Provider experience is preferred.
- Senior-level technical certifications such as Aruba ACMA/ACMX, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Cisco CCNP are strongly valued.
- Strong technical writing, documentation, design communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Working knowledge of systems and identity technologies sufficient to design and support integrated infrastructure solutions.
- Ability to mentor colleagues, manage vendors, work independently, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
