Full description
Be Part Of A Dynamic Team
Join a technology services organization supporting complex infrastructure deployments for multi-location customers across industries including retail, financial services, distribution, automotive, education, and other commercial environments.
This team manages the critical connection between construction readiness, structured cabling, field technicians, network infrastructure, vendors, and customer operations. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-moving, and built around accountability: projects are not considered complete simply because equipment was installed—they are complete when the technology works, outstanding issues are resolved, documentation is accurate, and the customer can operate successfully.
What's In Store For You
- Full-time direct-hire opportunity.
- 100% onsite in Cornelius, NC, five days per week.
- The work is coordinated primarily from the office rather than through regular customer-site travel.
- Broad ownership across construction coordination, structured cabling, technology deployment, technicians, vendors, customers, and operational closeout.
- Opportunity to manage both short transactional deployments and larger multi-month infrastructure projects.
- Individual-contributor position with significant influence across internal teams, field resources, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Own technology infrastructure delivery from initial construction planning through installation, activation, punch-list resolution, documentation, billing support, and final closeout.
- Build strong working relationships with construction managers and understand upcoming projects, site schedules, technology dependencies, and next required actions.
- Translate customer requirements into clearly documented scopes of work for technicians, vendors, and internal resources.
- Schedule and direct field technicians while maintaining accountability for what happens onsite even when working remotely from the office.
- Coordinate general contractors, cabling partners, carriers, customer network teams, vendors, and technical resources when problems or dependencies arise.
- Prevent field resources from abandoning workable assignments simply because the first obstacle appears; investigate the issue, identify available options, and drive the best path forward.
- Coordinate rack-and-stack, structured cabling, network equipment, connectivity, wireless, cellular backup, and other site technologies.
- Apply practical technical judgment to determine whether an issue should be troubleshot directly, handled by the field technician, escalated to engineering, or addressed by another vendor or customer team.
- Manage a dynamic mix of transactional work and larger projects while maintaining accurate tickets, status, schedules, field documentation, completion evidence, and financial handoff information.
- Communicate clearly with technicians and construction personnel while also providing concise, professional updates to customer and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
Are you an experienced infrastructure delivery professional ready to make an impact?
- Bring substantial professional experience supporting technology, infrastructure, telecommunications, managed services, field services, construction technology, or related delivery environments.
- Ideally have enough breadth of experience to have worked across multiple customers, project types, technical environments, and stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrate genuine understanding of structured cabling and physical infrastructure, including fiber, copper, racks, equipment installation, and site readiness.
- Understand how switches, routers, cellular connectivity, wireless, SFPs, network connections, and related technologies fit together at a conceptual and operational level.
- Network engineering or configuration expertise is not required, but strong technical instincts and troubleshooting judgment are essential.
- Demonstrate experience directing technicians, vendors, contractors, or field resources without necessarily having them as direct reports.
- Be comfortable working with construction managers, general contractors, technical teams, field technicians, vendors, customers, and executive stakeholders.
- Show strong ownership, problem-solving, organization, decision-making, and follow-through.
- Communicate professionally in meetings, emails, project reporting, and customer discussions.
- Be comfortable working full-time onsite in Cornelius, NC.
