Job Overview:
As a Business Analyst at Emirates NBD, your role is to drive end-to-end delivery of digital banking initiatives within the Everyday Banking tribe by combining business analysis, product support, and testing expertise. The role ensures seamless implementation, high-quality customer experience, and strong coordination across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for assigned propositions and journeys, ensuring the product experience is aligned with best practices in mobile UX and banking controls.
- Partner with development teams to deliver high-quality product increments; participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Define, monitor, and continuously optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success including adoption, funnel conversion, retention, serviceability, and revenue impact.
- Regularly review performance dashboards, conduct root cause analysis on performance gaps, and lead corrective initiatives.
- Own end-to-end business analysis for assigned initiatives, from requirement gathering to documentation and validation, ensuring alignment with business, financial, and operational logic.
- Translate regulatory, compliance, and risk requirements into clear functional and system specifications; conduct detailed impact assessments and define user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on user feedback, business value, regulatory constraints, performance data and market trends; create, manage, and prioritize the product backlog.
- Collaborate closely with designers, architects, and developers to ensure feasible and value-driven solutions; work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging experiences.
- Monitor product KPIs including funnel drop-offs, adoption, and operational efficiency; propose data-driven improvements.
- Support business stakeholders during UAT and post-release phases; monitor platform performance and report production issues in coordination with IT teams.
- Review test cases (functional, integration, regression); log, track, and retest bugs in collaboration with QA and development teams; perform data validations and assist in automation testing efforts.
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment between business reporting, analytics dashboards, and production behavior.
- Use experimentation and data-driven methodologies such as A/B testing and cohort analysis to validate hypotheses and improve outcomes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging digital banking practices.
- Maintain deep working knowledge of UAE payment rails and regulatory frameworks, including UAEFTS, SWIFT/TT, AANI (IPP), and card payment schemes; stay current with CBUAE, AML/CTF, and PCI-DSS requirements as they apply to product features.
- Translate payment scheme and regulator mandates such as CBUAE circulars and UAEFTS/AANI rule changes into actionable business and system requirements ahead of compliance deadlines.
- Liaise with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams to validate that payment and transfer journeys meet regulatory obligations before release, including sign-off on control points and audit trails.
- Possess strong domain and digital banking knowledge in payments architecture, transfer processing flows, and mobile/digital UX to bridge technical, business, and regulatory stakeholders effectively.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in a similar role across digital or banking environments
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile delivery
- Proficiency in test scenario identification/writing and defect tracking
- Familiarity with digital banking platforms and industry best practices
- Understanding of APIs, process mapping, and customer journey design
- CSPO, Any certification relevant to Business Analysis
