The Project Manager leads the administration, execution, and delivery of commercial heating and cooling equipment projects, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes. The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem-solver who can oversee a large portfolio of projects, think beyond day‑to‑day tasks, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and customers.

Pay Range: $72,000-$85,000. The compensation range for this role is determined by factors such as experience, education, and job-related skills. This position is eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and retirement options.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Manages 30–35 concurrent HVAC equipment projects with varying scope and dollar value, typically ranging from $1M to $3M.
  • Drives projects from order to close-out with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong ownership and proactive decision-making.
  • Ensures projects meet scope, schedule, and financial targets, aligning with internal accounting and operational requirements.

Strategic & Technical Acumen

  • Applies a solid understanding of HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, and construction workflows to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Thinks strategically about project sequencing, risk mitigation, and long-term customer relationships.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintains consistent communication with building owners, mechanical contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Builds strong, professional relationships that support customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Provides accurate and timely project status updates, reviews, and documentation.
  • Secures customer acceptance and sign-off at project completion.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Enters equipment orders, issues purchase orders and ensures compliance with internal procurement processes.
  • Reviews and approves vendor invoices; issues customer invoices; reconciles project financials to maintain profitability.
  • Compares estimated ship dates with contractor schedules and adjusts plans to maintain alignment.
  • Generates service work orders for equipment start-ups and service visits.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensures all projects meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Participates in company-provided training and stays current on industry best practices.
  • Supports a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3 years of project management, HVAC, mechanical, or construction-related experience.
  • Familiarity with commercial HVAC equipment strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and ability to adapt to CRM software”.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
  • Financial literacy and comfort working with budgets, cost tracking, and project accounting.
  • Ability to work in a typical office environment with occasional job site visits
