About the role
You will own field research and discovery to understand how teams interact with AI, translating these insights into actionable product features. You will design complex interfaces for enterprise environments, including dashboards and embedded experiences within tools like Slack and Teams.
What they look for
Requirements
The role requires 4–8 years of experience in product or UX design, specifically with complex, multi-user B2B products. Candidates must possess strong research skills, visual design proficiency, and the ability to design for non-linear, AI-driven workflows.
Benefits
Full description
Raison is on a mission to provide humans with better skills so they can feel confident and have more opportunities in the AI era. We help companies make sure 100% their teams master AI, directly in the flow of work (Teams, Slack) so that AI knowledge spreads across the organization instead of pooling in a handful of champions.
We are passionate entrepreneurs believing that the ongoing AI revolution should be shared by all employees; and that the future of corporate interactions should not be restricted to private human-machine chats. Raison is capturing what champions create with AI, turning it into shared, governed skills, and propagating them so everyone feels capable and empowered; acting as a powerful lever to accelerate the AI transformation of corporates.
We recently raised €2m from a top French VC + BPI and a selection of high-profile business angels who believe AI mastery is the highest-leverage application of AI inside companies.
Tasks
User Research & Discovery
- Own field research: contextual inquiry, user interviews, and observation of how teams actually work with AI and where it breaks.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of our core users — individual contributors, champions, managers, and corporate buyers — and the context they operate in.
- Synthesize messy field data into sharp, actionable insight: jobs-to-be-done, adoption blockers, and the conditions under which a skill transfers between people.
- Establish a continuous discovery habit so research is a foundational reflex, and champion the user's perspective in every product decision.
Product & Experience Design
- What our experts do by hand today is the spec for what the product must automate tomorrow. Your job is to watch that closely enough to design it.
- Design the surfaces: the client dashboard execs present to their board, the internal console our experts use to run a dozen live communities at once, and the conversations themselves.
- Most of our product lives inside someone else's client. You are designing in Teams and Slack, not screens we control — no onboarding, no landing page, no second chance. A four-minute message to an accountant who has never opened Copilot is the hardest design problem we have.
- Work mostly on enterprise, and partly on higher education, where we also have live deployments. Two audiences, two vocabularies, one product: part of your job is deciding what stays shared and what has to differ, so we build one coherent system rather than two half-products.
- Work hand-in-hand with our AI product engineers so your field learnings ship as features, then get re-tested at the next pilot.
- Own the design system: components, tokens, patterns, and the copy that goes with them.
Requirements
- 4–8 years in product design, UX design, or a hybrid design-research role, ideally on complex, multi-user B2B products.
- A strong portfolio that shows both craft and thinking: we want to see how you operated, not just what shipped.
- A skilled researcher who can design a study, run it in the wild, and turn qualitative chaos into clear direction.
- Experience designing inside environments you don't control - a messaging client, an extension, an embedded product - or a clear appetite for it.
- Comfortable designing for AI-driven and adaptive experiences, where the interface has to handle uncertainty, personalization, and non-linear workflows.
- Excellent visual and interaction design skills: typography, spacing, motion, and the small details that build trust.
- Autonomous and opinionated, but you hold your opinions loosely when the evidence says otherwise.
- Genuine curiosity about AI and how people actually learn at work.
- Fluent in French and English, spoken and written. Spanish is a plus.
- You want the ownership, equity, and career-defining challenge that only comes from being early.
- Bonus: deeply passionate about something outside of work.
Benefits
- A founding role with equity and direct influence on company strategy.
- Competitive salary, benchmarked to the Paris startup ecosystem.
- Flexibility: remote-friendly with regular in-person collaboration in Paris and an office in Montmartre with a beautiful Sacré-Coeur view.
- A front-row seat to one of the most important shifts in how humans learn.
- A small, sharp team that ships fast and trusts each other to figure things out.
- If you care deeply about making powerful tools feel human and want to shape a product from the very beginning, this is your role. Apply now and help us build the future of learning.
- Raison is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse, inclusive team.
