Description

We are seeking a VDC Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) initiatives across a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will be an expert BIM/VDC professional with experience developing BIM Execution Plans, managing VDC personnel, supporting project teams with advanced model-based solutions, and collaborating directly with clients, owners, architects, and construction teams to drive project success.

Essential Job Functions

  • Read and interpret construction documents and project requirements
  • Develop and maintain data-rich 3D BIM models
  • Prepare and condition architect and engineer models for estimating and construction purposes
  • Produce and review model-based reports and project analytics
  • Oversee VDC staff during model coordination and conflict/clash resolution activities
  • Train and mentor junior VDC team members while promoting best practices and process consistency
  • Produce and review accurate and timely monthly project reports
  • Set up and maintain model-based look-ahead views and supporting resources
  • Develop and manage 4D schedule simulations
  • Review and analyze 5D earned value models
  • Review Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling reports and support schedule management efforts
  • Prepare, implement, and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans
  • Develop estimates and proposals for BIM and VDC services
  • Manage BIM requirements, deliverables, and project standards
  • Utilize BIM models to support project teams, stakeholders, and external clients
  • Present BIM and VDC information to project teams, executives, clients, and owners
  • Collaborate directly with clients and owners to develop customized VDC and BIM solutions
  • Facilitate collaboration between design teams, project teams, and project stakeholders
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative technologies and solutions for the VDC department
  • Perform ROI analyses and process efficiency reviews for current VDC tools and workflows
  • Prepare interview materials and participate in project pursuit and interview efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Graphics, Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • 4-8 years of experience in BIM, VDC, construction technology, or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Assemble Systems, and integrated BIM workflows
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles
  • Experience developing and implementing project-specific 3D, 4D, and 5D BIM workflows
