Full description
Lead a high-performing engineering team and shape the future of technical excellence.
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll provide both strategic and hands-on leadership, ensuring technical excellence while creating a collaborative, motivated and accountable team culture. This is a role for a technically credible leader who enjoys balancing engineering detail with people leadership, project delivery and continuous improvement.
With multiple engineering projects running simultaneously each month, you'll be responsible for ensuring priorities are clear, deadlines are achieved and your team has the support and direction needed to consistently deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Creating an engaging, accountable and high-performance engineering culture.
- Managing engineering priorities, resources and deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance on complex engineering solutions.
- Reviewing and approving engineering designs, calculations and technical documentation.
- Driving continuous improvement across engineering processes, systems and standards.
- Working closely with Sales, Production, Procurement and Service to ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentoring engineers and developing future technical leaders within the business.
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director and contributing to the company's engineering strategy.
Why This Role?
Engineering Managers often find themselves buried in administration or disconnected from the technical side of the business. This opportunity offers the best of both.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead a team of approximately 10 engineering professionals while remaining actively involved in the technical detail. You'll have the opportunity to influence how the department operates, strengthen team performance, improve project delivery and create an environment where engineers are motivated to do their best work.
With multiple engineering projects running simultaneously, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring priorities are managed, deadlines are achieved and engineering excellence remains at the heart of every solution.
If you're a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys developing people, driving technical excellence and making a lasting impact, this role offers the platform to do exactly that.
