Full description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial interior construction projects from contract award through final closeout. This role is responsible for managing every phase of project execution while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate has a strong background managing projects involving commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and interior finish systems. You will work closely with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams while overseeing project schedules, budgets, procurement, documentation, and overall project performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial interior construction projects from contract award through final completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and project execution strategies.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to verify scope and identify potential issues before construction begins.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel throughout every phase of construction.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor productivity, material procurement, subcontractor performance, and overall financial performance.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, billing, and project documentation.
  • Conduct routine jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, productivity, and schedule performance.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize impacts on cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients, stakeholders, and company leadership.
  • Coordinate punch-list completion, final documentation, project turnover, and closeout activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in commercial interior construction.
  • Experience managing projects involving drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior finish systems.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, project controls, and cost management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, client relationships, and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
