Run a portfolio of civil projects out of our Ballarat office. You will manage up to three jobs at once, anywhere from $200,000 through to $20 million, across road construction, bridge works, intersection upgrades and road safety improvement projects in regional Victoria and southern New South Wales. - Take full delivery ownership of up to three concurrent civil projects, from handover through to practical completion
- Manage programme, cost, subcontractors and procurement across the portfolio, and report performance to the Construction Manager
- Lead site teams and set the safety and quality standard on every job, whether you are on site that day or not
- Work directly with local government and state clients, consultants and the community through delivery
- Plan resources and plant across projects so crews are not competing for the same gear on the same week
What you will need
- Proven experience managing civil construction projects through to completion, ideally roads, bridges, intersections or road safety works
- Confidence running commercial delivery, including programme, budget, variations and subcontract packages
- Ability to hold several projects in your head at once and prioritise where your time goes
- Current driver licence and willingness to travel across regional Victoria and southern NSW, including overnight stays
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Useful, but not essential A civil engineering degree, previous experience with local government or state road authority clients, and exposure to bridge or structures delivery. What you can expect
