About us
Fortiro is a growing fintech with a highly experienced team, backed by significant investment, and giving you the opportunity to contribute to an award-winning enterprise SaaS platform. Our technology uses emerging technologies and AI to help detect financial crime and enable automation in processes like lending and insurance claim verification. It is trusted by leading banks and financial services businesses in Australia, New Zealand, and globally.
About the role
We're looking for a highly analytical, hands-on Data & Platform Product Manager to drive the technical evolution of our platform across our three global regions.
This role exists to help drive the "engine room" of our product. You will focus entirely on technical architecture, API capabilities, data governance, and analytics. If you love solving complex backend problems and leveraging data and AI to fight financial crime at scale, this is the role for you.
You will act as the primary bridge between product strategy and engineering execution, ensuring our technical foundations are scalable, secure, and data-driven.
What you'll be doing
- Architect Technical Solutions: Partner deeply with engineering leads on system design, APIs, and scalable architecture, acting as the primary bridge between product strategy, customer needs, and complex backend execution.
- Drive Data-Led Capabilities: Treat our data as a core product. Ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance across our three operating regions.
- Leverage Platform Analytics: Use quantitative analytics to measure feature adoption, track system performance metrics, and uncover actionable insights to guide engineering investments.
- Translate Complex Logic: Define rigorous technical requirements and translate complex system constraints, such as machine learning models and fraud detection methods, into clear business value.
- Future-Proof the Platform: Ensure we avoid reactive, one-off custom builds by designing reusable, scalable capabilities that serve multiple enterprise customers.
What you'll bring to the role
- Technical depth: A strong technical background in software engineering, system architecture, data science, or computer science. You can comfortably debate the content of API payloads, data models, and system constraints with senior engineers.
- Analytical rigor: Proficiency with data analytics, SQL, and product telemetry tools; you refuse to make major decisions without looking at the numbers first.
- Platform experience: Proven experience managing backend capabilities, data pipelines, or technical platforms in a complex B2B SaaS environment.
- Clear communication: The ability to translate deeply technical constraints into clear commercial impacts for stakeholders and end users.
Why join Fortiro?
- Be yourself: We value individuality and encourage you to work in ways that make you most productive.
- Make an impact: Build the underlying tech and data models that have a massive impact on the market and directly drive the company's growth.
- Work on cutting-edge solutions: Join a fast-paced team helping enterprises combat financial crime using AI and advanced tech; it's highly rewarding, mission-driven work.
- Inclusive culture: Open, diverse and flexible workplace.
- Grow with us: Unparalleled exposure to the core business engine and the opportunity to help define the product culture at a rapidly scaling SaaS company.
- Long-term focus: We invest in our people and reward performance.
No recruitment agencies please. We have this covered and will reach out if we need support. Thank you.
