Job Responsibilities:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead development activities in embedded software, controls and communication systems for advanced automotive applications.
  • Drive innovation through evaluation of emerging technologies and industry trends supporting future vehicle platforms.
  • Collaborate with global teams to define concepts, architectures, requirements and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead technical work packages and communicate results to engineering, management, customers and partners.
  • Support mentoring, knowledge transfer and technology deployment across engineering organizations. 

Knowledge and Education:                                             

  • Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Physics or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems engineering, electrification, embedded software and E/E architectures.
  • Familiarity with V-cycle, Agile development, Functional Safety and Cyber Security principles.

Special Knowledge / Skills:

  • Expertise in embedded software development using C/C++, Python and modern software engineering methods.
  • Strong knowledge of electric drive controls, control theory and model-based development.
  • Deep understanding of Automotive Ethernet, TSN, CAN, SPI, UART and I2C communication technologies.
  • Experience with distributed E/E architectures and vehicle domains including ADAS, Powertrain and Chassis.
  • Proficiency with AUTOSAR, OSEK, POSIX and embedded real-time environments.
  • Knowledge of software integration, validation, diagnostics, benchmarking and communication analysis (DSP).
  • Strong analytical capabilities with understanding of signal integrity, EMC, Functional Safety and Cyber Security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate embedded software for electrified vehicle and mechatronic systems.
  • Implement communication interfaces and services for distributed ECU architectures.
  • Develop, calibrate and optimize control algorithms for electric propulsion applications.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot communication networks including Automotive Ethernet and TSN.
  • Perform debugging, testing, benchmarking and root-cause analysis of software and systems.
  • Support prototyping, proof-of-concept activities and advanced technology demonstrations.
  • Create software documentation, specifications, validation reports and integration records.

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of automotive embedded software development experience.
  • Experience in controls engineering, vehicle networking and/or electrified propulsion systems.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges through innovative engineering solutions.
  • Experience leading technical work packages in multidisciplinary development teams.
  • Track record from concept development through vehicle or system integration.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to work in global team-based environment incl up to 25% travel could be international or domestic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office incl CoPilot
  • Excellent professional communication skills (written and verbal) and good presence
  • Strong strategic thinker with logical reasoning process.
  • Self-motivated to complete assignments and be able to independently manage projects.
  • Strong skills to find and screen valuable information from various data sources.
  • Ability to involve in and contribute to technical discussions in the assigned work areas.
  • Ability to summarize essential information in brief executive summary document.
  • Ability to approach related engineering analysis from complete system engineering view.
  • Ability to lead workpackages and lead projects.
  • Work with internal and external teams to innovate, develop, integrate technologies and methods.
