Role:

Reporting to the VP of IT, this position works as a member of the Data Analytics department. This position is responsible for designing, building, and owning the organization's enterprise data platform from the ground up. We are seeking a visionary, self-directed data leader who can look beyond individual applications, take initiative, and identify how disparate systems and datasets can be connected to create a complete, enterprise-wide view of the credit union. This includes developing a centralized data warehouse, enabling modern dashboard reporting, and leveraging other modern tools, including AI, to accelerate delivery. This role will take ownership of the full data lifecycle, from source-system ingestion and integration through curated datasets and comprehensive, trusted reporting across the credit union. Data Platform Ownership: Creates and implements a new data warehouse Replaces manual reporting with structured datasets utilizing SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, or other approved modern reporting tools Introduces modern tools where currently utilized tools are not sufficient - Translates a forward-looking data vision into practical solutions by connecting disparate systems and datasets to support comprehensive, cross-functional reporting -Proactively identifies data gaps, integration opportunities, and reporting needs without waiting for detailed direction Utilizes of AI as a tool to move faster is required

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science, or relevant financial field or equivalent work experience.

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills

Experience building data pipelines processes and data warehouses utilizing ETL processes thinking strategically, taking initiative, and designing integrated data solutions across disparate systems. Also demonstrating the ability to understand business reporting needs in order to create inclusive, trusted datasets that support enterprise-wide analysis

Advanced SQL skills and experience with scripting languages such as Python or R

Exposure to cloud or modern platforms (Azure, Fabric, Snowflake, etc.)

Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve development speed or quality

Work Environment

Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May require periodic travel. There is exposure to potentially hazardous conditions such as robbery. Employees are to receive detailed instructions and procedures to follow in order to minimize risk.
