About the opportunity
The Project Manager manages FASTSIGNS National Accounts sign projects from initial inquiry through completion. This role partners with customers, FASTSIGNS franchisees, vendors, subcontractors, landlords, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service while keeping projects organized, on schedule, and within established requirements.

Project Intake & Planning
- Receive and review new project inquiries and orders through email, catalogs, purchase orders, and other channels.
- Ensure all necessary project information is received and accurately documented.
- Enter new jobs into the project management system and create scopes of work for new installs, build-and-ship projects, and service work.
Vendor, Survey & Compliance Coordination
- Research and select qualified FASTSIGNS franchisees or subcontractors to perform surveys and complete project work.
- Verify current vendor insurance coverage and issue purchase orders as needed.
- Research applicable sign codes, municipal requirements, landlord criteria, insurance requirements, and property-use regulations.
- Review site surveys and project requirements to identify signage locations, potential issues, and information needed to prepare accurate client proposals.
Artwork, Quoting & Approvals
- Request signage artwork from the FASTSIGNS National Accounts Art Department, ensuring customer brand standards and logo guidelines are met.
- Review completed artwork for accuracy and coordinate revisions as needed.
- Submit artwork for manufacturer, permitting, and installation quotes; follow up on outstanding estimates within established timeframes.
- Compile estimates and prepare client quotes using established account margins; obtain approval when required.
- Submit artwork to landlords for approval and coordinate revisions based on landlord feedback.
Project Execution & Closeout
- Create purchase orders for permitting, manufacturing, and installation, and follow up to ensure work remains on schedule.
- Maintain accurate project statuses, notes, contact details, and supporting documents in the project management system.
- Competitively bid projects as needed to support the best value for clients.
- Ensure completed jobs are accurately marked in the system so the Accounting Department can invoice clients.
- Follow up weekly on active jobs and sales quotes to support timely completion.
Team Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Assist National Accounts team members with project follow-up and other projects as needed.
- Help develop and improve project-management tools, catalog selections, processes, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, shredders, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position requiring at least 40 hours per week. Regular workdays are Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
Travel
This position requires minimal to no travel. Any travel would primarily be local during business days, although occasional out-of-area or overnight travel may be required based on job responsibilities.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Project coordination and/or sign-industry experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong project-management, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- General sign-industry knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound business judgment.
