Responsibilities:

• Designing and maintaining automated tests for important UI journeys, API workflows, services, and 

integrations relevant to the product area.

• Contributing to automation frameworks, shared testing utilities, test data, and CI/CD test execution.

• Performing manual, functional, exploratory, and risk-based testing while building product and domain knowledge.
• Translating requirements and acceptance criteria into clear test scenarios, identifying gaps, edge cases, and opportunities for automation.
• Validating system behavior and data changes using browser developer tools, APIs, logs, network requests, databases, and other technical interfaces.
• Investigating defects, automated-test failures, and flaky tests, working with engineers to identify and address root causes.
• Collaborating with developers and product stakeholders throughout the sprint and participating actively in Agile ceremonies.
• Supporting appropriate coverage across UI, API, component, integration, and end-to-end testing, with guidance on more complex strategy decisions.
• Participating in automation code reviews, documenting knowledge, and continuously improving testing and software engineering skills.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of practical experience in test automation using a browser automation framework, an API automation toolset, or both.
• Programming or scripting experience for automated testing.
• Strong manual, functional, and exploratory testing skills, including writing and maintaining clear test cases.
• Ability to translate requirements into positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case coverage.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools, REST APIs and HTTP concepts, Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum ways of working.
• A structured approach to investigating failures and gathering useful technical evidence.

Would be a plus:

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, TypeScript/JavaScript.

• API testing experience.

• SQL skills.

• Visual regression and cross-browser testing experience.

• Familiarity with microservices, integration testing.

• Exposure to message brokers or observability tools.
