Full description

Guru Pay is an EMI based in Lithuania, with a mission to deliver personalized, boutique financial services to B2B, B2C, and C2B customers. We are highly ambitious - focusing on speed, security, and top-tier quality in everything we do.

We are looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to own and evolve the shared infrastructure and delivery platform used by our engineering teams.

You will work across AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security, and observability, helping our engineers ship safely and efficiently while keeping our platform reliable, secure, and scalable.

This is a hands-on role working closely with engineering teams, Security, and IT Operations.

What will you do?

  • Own and evolve our AWS infrastructure, managed through Terraform across all environments.
  • Operate and improve Kubernetes, databases, caches, messaging, networking, IAM, and other shared platform services.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment standards, making it easy for teams to build, test, deploy, and roll back services safely.
  • Build reusable golden-path templates and self-service tooling for engineering teams.
  • Own platform monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting, keeping observability useful and actionable.
  • Improve platform reliability through SLOs, restore testing, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and incident follow-ups.
  • Manage platform security, including access, secrets, vulnerability scanning, patching, certificates, and least-privilege controls.
  • Participate in and lead infrastructure incidents as part of the on-call rotation.
  • Monitor cloud usage and costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Track delivery and reliability metrics and work with engineering teams to continuously improve our platform.

Our Stack

Cloud: AWS - EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, MemoryDB, Amazon MQ, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Lambda, Redshift Serverless, S3, SES, ECR, Route 53

Infrastructure: Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes

Delivery: Azure DevOps Pipelines

Observability: Datadog, CloudWatch, Tempo, Fluent Bit

Security: GuardDuty, Trivy, IAM/IRSA, security groups

Automation: Bash, Python and/or Go

What we expect:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform, including managing existing/brownfield infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD. Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines is a plus, but comparable tooling is fine.
  • Experience operating production infrastructure handling sensitive, financial, or personal data.
  • Experience operating databases and managed services, including RDS failover, proxying, backups, and restore testing.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Experience running and improving an observability stack.
  • Ability to automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Bash and Python or Go.
  • Comfortable handling production incidents and communicating infrastructure concepts clearly to developers.
  • Business-level communication fluency in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience in FinTech, banking, payments, or another regulated environment, including supporting audits.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Experience operating self-hosted internal tooling.
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and RTO/RPO requirements.

What will you get?

  • A salary starting from 4000 EUR gross based on your experience
  • 2nd pillar pension coverage
  • Budget for professional development and certifications
  • Extra vacation day on your birthday
  • Flexible hybrid work from our Vilnius office or home
  • Regular workations, health challenges, and other team initiatives
  • Significant ownership over the platform powering Guru Pay’s engineering teams and production systems
