Your Role

As a Backend Java Developer at PALO IT, you'll lead the design and implementation of scalable backend systems for innovative digital solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality software, contribute to technical decisions, and mentor other developers.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and seamless integration with frontend systems.

• Build and optimize microservices architectures, applying design patterns, clean architecture, and software engineering best practices.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Tech Leads to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, clean code principles, and adherence to development best practices.

• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering continuous learning, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing.

• Contribute to R&D projects and community initiatives within PALO IT.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• 4+ years of backend development experience with Java.

• Strong proficiency in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data.

• Solid experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.

• Experience with event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or IBM Cloud is a plus.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm, RBAC, and autoscaling, is a plus.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab is a plus.

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack is a plus.

• Experience with Apache Camel or WebFlux is a plus.

• Passionate about clean code, technical excellence, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

• Willingness to share knowledge and mentor other developers.

• Fluent in English, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
