About the Role
As a Project Manager – Electrical at Zekelman Industries, you will lead the design and execution of NEC-compliant electrical projects valued between $1M and $6M. You’ll ensure quality, safety, and profitability while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting business growth.
You’ll work closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to manage schedules, budgets, and overall project delivery. This is a full-time, onsite role that requires regular travel to construction sites across multiple states.

What You’ll Do
- Manages electrical projects from planning through completion to ensure quality and profitability
- Develops strong client relationships built on trust, reliability, and open communication
- Identifies client needs and delivers NEC-compliant solutions that support current and future requirements
- Oversees scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and daily field activities
- Leads communication with clients, suppliers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment
- Coordinates drawing development, load calculations, and submission of required documents to AHJs
- Supports negotiation with clients and suppliers as needed
- Ensures all work complies with Z-Modular Power safety and quality standards
- Promotes ethical practices and consistent project performance
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience through an Associate Degree or Trade School Certification
- 5 or more years of experience managing commercial electrical projects
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Familiarity with Procore, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools
- Procore Certification, PMP, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification preferred
- Skilled in electrical system design and understanding of AHJ approval processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Able to travel regularly to construction sites across multiple states
- Eligible to work in the United States
Work Environment:
Work takes place in an office environment with standard equipment, along with frequent visits to construction sites in various states. This role requires collaboration with teams across departments and regions. Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance is essential.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a computer
- Manual dexterity for handling office and project documentation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Sufficient visual acuity for reading screens and reviewing technical documents
