About the Role
IT Tech Hub (ITH) is looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join one of our client projects on a full-time contractor basis.
This is a hands-on Data Engineering position focused on building and maintaining modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and the Microsoft data ecosystem.
The ideal candidate has strong experience designing data pipelines, lakehouse and warehouse architectures, transforming large datasets, and building reliable data platforms for analytics and business intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop and manage Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures.
- Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Work with OneLake, Fabric Data Factory, Data Engineering, and Data Warehouse workloads.
- Develop data transformation processes using SQL, Python, and/or PySpark.
- Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
- Design scalable data models for analytics and reporting.
- Implement data quality, monitoring, and performance optimization practices.
- Collaborate with Data, BI, Engineering, and business teams.
- Support Power BI and downstream analytics solutions with reliable and well-structured datasets.
- Contribute to the evolution of the organization's modern Microsoft data platform.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in Data Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with OneLake and Lakehouse architectures.
- Strong experience building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with Python, PySpark, and/or Apache Spark.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
- Ability to design scalable and reliable data solutions.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Experience with Azure Databricks.
- Knowledge of Medallion Architecture.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience migrating existing Azure or legacy data platforms to Microsoft Fabric.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and version control for data engineering projects.
Contract Details
- Contract: Independent Contractor through IT Tech Hub (ITH)
- Commitment: Full-time
- Schedule: 8 hours per day
