The Upgrade Operations team supporting the AMEA, ANZ and LACR Managed & Support Services business. Our team is responsible for deploying hardware & software upgrades across the mission critical advance contract customer base in order to keep customer systems on standard support levels in product life cycle. The Technical Project Manager within the AMEA Managed and Support Services (MSS) team is responsible for planning and coordinating deploying new software and hardware releases across the MSI mission critical customer base in order to keep customer systems on current supported versions .This position requires project management expertise alongside in-depth knowledge of Dimetra and Astro  infrastructure to successfully execute upgrades and integration related project.

In this mid-to-senior level individual contributor role, you will lead and coordinate cross-functional system upgrade projects within the AMEA, ANZ and LACR region. You will drive technical discussions, evaluate architectural decisions, and translate technical complexities into actionable delivery plans. 

Key Responsibilities

Technical Project Governance & Lifecycle Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between all the Stakeholders, Customer Service Manager, Services team, Finance, Order Management, Factory/Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to align project expectations and deliver the scope of work per agreements.
  • Project Management -- Maintain rigorous oversight over project baselines and managed Scopes, technical dependencies, schedules, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Proactively manage technical risks, dependency blockages, and schedule trade-offs, implementing risk mitigation strategies before delivery deadlines are impacted.

Stakeholder Alignment

  • Work closely with Technical Leads, System Engineers, Solution Architects, and Field Service Managers to resolve complex architectural and technical delivery bottlenecks.
  • Provide regular executive status reporting, technical risk assessments, and escalation metrics to AMEA leadership.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively identify technical, process, and deployment risks, formulating robust risk mitigation strategies.
  • Process and evaluate technical challenges, analyzing cost, schedule, and architectural impacts.
  • Self motivated and can manage cross functional teams and  take full responsibility and ownership for a project
  • Ability to advise management and prioritize work based on business impact.

Basic Requirements

Basic Qualification:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Experience: 3–7 years of proven technical project management experience in telecom networks, systems integration, complex software deployments, or IT managed services.

Technical & Domain Expertise

  • Strong technical background in LMR / Wireless Systems (TETRA, APX, P25), IP Networking, Servers and IT terminology.
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, ServiceNow).
  • Resourceful self-starter able to manage priorities and tasks effectively and independently
  • Able to work in a continuously changing environment with an ability to continuously learn.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-ACP are highly preferred.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile PM certifications are an added advantage.
