Summary

This position serves as a critical analytical partner within the Technology business unit, dedicated to delivering precise financial oversight and strategic insights. Collaborating closely with the Technology Finance Business Partner, the role focuses on ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting while driving robust budgeting and forecasting processes. The incumbent will generate actionable intelligence that empowers leadership to make informed strategic decisions, fostering a deep comprehension of technology operations and telecommunications finance. Ultimately, the position is vital for aligning financial performance with the organization's broader strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the creation of annual budgets, forward-looking forecasts, and extended financial plans tailored to the Technology Function.
  • Manage and refine budgeting and forecasting models to guarantee data integrity and ensure updates are delivered on schedule.
  • Execute month-end variance analysis to pinpoint and explain significant performance deviations against budgets, forecasts, and historical data.
  • Draft and distribute periodic financial reports and performance dashboards specifically for Technology leadership review.
  • Utilize financial modeling and analysis to validate business cases, investment proposals, and key strategic initiatives.
  • Lead cost-benefit evaluations, return on investment (ROI) assessments, and post-implementation reviews for technology projects.
  • Examine operational and financial datasets to uncover emerging trends, potential risks, growth opportunities, and avenues for operational efficiency.
  • Offer strategic guidance regarding Technology operating and capital expenditures (OPEX and CAPEX).
  • Develop comprehensive management reports, executive presentations, and financial summaries.
  • Guarantee the prompt delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting.
  • Track Technology cost centers to flag potential risks or patterns of overspending early.
  • Drive the continuous enhancement of reporting methodologies, analytical tools, and overall data quality.
  • Partner with Technology stakeholders to grasp business needs and deliver targeted financial support.
  • Aid Technology managers in overseeing budget allocations and monitoring expenditure trends.
  • Translate complex financial performance data and key insights for both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships across Technology, Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and other support departments.
