This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring database professional to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise Oracle database environments while working alongside senior database administrators and infrastructure specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of Oracle Database environments.
  • Monitor database health, performance, and availability using database monitoring tools.
  • Support database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Assist with database installations, upgrades, patching, and configuration activities.
  • Help troubleshoot database-related incidents and performance issues.
  • Monitor storage utilization and database growth trends.
  • Execute routine database maintenance tasks and health checks.
  • Support user account management, security configurations, and access control requests.
  • Assist in implementing database security and compliance requirements.
  • Work with application, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve database-related issues.
  • Prepare and maintain database documentation, procedures, and operational run books.
  • Participate in change, incident, and problem management activities.
  • Support data migration, refresh, and testing activities across environments.
  • Develop basic SQL queries and scripts to assist with administration and reporting tasks.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Oracle Database administration concepts.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database 12c, 19c, or later versions.
  • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL fundamentals.
  • Understanding of database backup and recovery concepts.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
  • Basic knowledge of database performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Understanding of database security principles and user management.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
