Full description

We're seeking high-judgment, results-oriented, and inventive Business Analyst to help shape the narrative around selling in Amazon's store. You'll leverage data to demonstrate how Amazon enables sellers to build thriving businesses, working across teams to develop compelling seller impact stories backed by robust analytics. This involves working closely with dozens of teams to understand their process, queries, data and tools to understand available data and collaborate to generate net new insights. This role also includes high level of strategy to develop external seller impact claims based on data, including critical partners in Finance, Public Policy, Public Relations, Creative, and more.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with an aptitude for solving unstructured problems. They are great at extracting data from various sources to design, construct, and execute complex analyses to generate data and insights. They are exceptionally analytical with good oral and written communication skills that allow them to simplify complex insights and findings and influence others with their recommendations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance, Public Policy, PR, and Creative teams to develop data-driven narratives
  • Design and implement scalable reporting solutions using SQL, Excel, and visualization tools
  • Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to access and analyze diverse data sources
  • Translate complex analyses into actionable insights and clear recommendations

A day in the life

  • Develop compelling, data-driven narratives that accurately represent seller success
  • Build scalable, automated solutions for ongoing seller impact analysis
  • Establish strong partnerships across teams to enable efficient data access and collaboration
  • Deliver insights that drive positive public perception of Amazon's partnership with independent sellers
  • Fulfill adhoc data and insights requests from Policy and PR teams

Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights - Experience with Excel - Experience with SQL - Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
