Summary

We are looking for a Staff QA Manager to lead the quality assurance strategy across a diverse portfolio of enterprise engagements, including new system development, legacy modernizations, and AI application delivery. In this high-impact leadership role, you will ensure end-to-end testing and data quality across modern stacks featuring React, C# .NET 10, and Databricks. Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will define testing frameworks, oversee team execution, and ensure seamless integration within a strictly governed environment where all work is managed in GitHub with pull requests linked directly to issues.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Professional Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance with a proven track record of managing QA teams and enterprise-wide test strategies.

• Experience overseeing end-to-end testing for complex software projects, ensuring quality from build through deployment.

• Demonstrated experience establishing data quality, testing, and monitoring standards for large-scale data engineering pipelines.

• Proven experience managing workflows entirely within GitHub, ensuring strict traceability between issues and pull requests.

• Experience evaluating and monitoring AI solutions in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and lead the end-to-end testing strategy for new system development and legacy modernization projects.

• Ensure rigorous data quality, testing, and monitoring standards for Databricks data pipelines built with PySpark and SQL.

• Establish robust frameworks to evaluate, monitor, and govern AI applications and agentic workflows in production.

• Ensure quality assurance practices integrate seamlessly into Git-based CI/CD workflows and deployment pipelines, including Databricks Asset Bundles.

• Collaborate effectively with product managers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional development teams to translate business needs into technical quality solutions.

• Ensure testing protocols comply with security and data privacy governance models, including human oversight for AI solutions.

Required Technical Skills

Strong experience in several of the following areas:

• Software QA Leadership: Formulating test strategies for decoupled architectures utilizing React with TypeScript, C# .NET 10, and FastAPI.

• Data Quality Assurance: Implementing data testing and monitoring frameworks for Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Azure SQL/Cosmos DB.

• AI Quality & Governance: Methodologies for evaluating AI use cases, ensuring security, data privacy, and robust monitoring for production AI/agentic solutions.

• DevOps & Version Control: Deep understanding of Git-based CI/CD, managing all work via GitHub Issues and Pull Requests.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with testing infrastructure provisioned via Azure Bicep and applications utilizing Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on.

• Knowledge of observability platforms and practices, including OpenTelemetry logs, spans, and metrics within Unity Catalog.

• Experience testing data visualization implementations such as Apache ECharts.

• Functional familiarity with domain-specific data such as Concur invoice/expense data, 73Strings comparator data, or fund accounting analytics.

Soft Skills

• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

• Strong communication skills for working directly with business users and integrating smoothly with established technical teams.

• High adaptability and the ability to define processes for onboarding teams onto existing codebases and shared packages.

• High ownership, autonomy, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
