We are looking for 2 highly capable Senior Data Management & Governance Analysts to join the Finance Data Reporting Office team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong expertise in Data Management, Data Governance, SAP S/4HANA and Master Data Governance (MDG) who are passionate about improving data quality, strengthening controls, and driving business value through digital innovation.

The successful candidates will combine deep governance and master data expertise with a forward-thinking mindset, using Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation and Microsoft Power Platform technologies to transform the way data is managed across National Grid. They will play a key role in modernising processes, reducing manual effort, enhancing data quality controls, and delivering scalable, efficient solutions that support future ways of working.

As trusted subject matter experts, they will be responsible for the governance, creation, maintenance and quality of Finance Master Data, ensuring compliance with policies, controls and regulatory requirements. Working closely with business stakeholders, data owners and global teams, they will drive continuous improvement, governance adherence, and the adoption of best practices across the organisation.

The role also supports audit and compliance activities, including control walkthroughs, evidence management and assurance reviews. Beyond governance, we are looking for individuals who can bring fresh ideas, challenge traditional approaches, and leverage emerging technologies to automate processes, generate insights, and create a more intelligent and data-driven operating model.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Data Governance and Master Data Management, whilst also embracing AI, automation and digital innovation to shape the future of Finance Data Management at National Grid. This role is based out of our Brooklyn Office with hybrid working.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the creation, maintenance, and governance of Finance Master Data within SAP S/4HANA and MDG, ensuring compliance with governance policies, controls, and SLAs.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for SAP MDG and Finance Master Data, providing guidance and support to business stakeholders.
  • Support a strong control environment through risk mitigation, audit and compliance activities, maintenance of audit evidence, and adherence to regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Manage complex master data activities in partnership with cross-functional, global, business, and technical teams.
  • Develop and continuously enhance data governance frameworks, standards, processes, controls, and governance artefacts.
  • Drive data quality, process optimisation, standardisation, automation, and efficiency improvements through analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate governance forums, impact assessments, approvals, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making to support compliance and accountability.
  • Lead data governance initiatives, transformation programmes, system enhancements, and change activities, including project delivery, testing, training, and adoption of new technologies.
  • Manage projects and change activities, including planning, risks, testing, deployment, training, user adoption, and delivery of agreed business outcomes.

What You'll Have

  • Degree educated; finance qualification desirable.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Finance Data Governance, Data Management, SAP S/4HANA and MDG.
  • Strong expertise in Finance master data governance, controls, audits and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Apps and reporting/dashboard development skills.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • Confident challenging, rejecting and escalating non-compliant requests.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to drive data quality and governance outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, accountable and solution-focused approach.
  • Committed to continuous development in Data Governance, MDM and Data Quality.

Salary of $115,000 dependent on experience.
