Full description

This role in Xtremax is focused on improving the citizen service journey by uncovering user needs, analyzing data, and applying design thinking to inform product strategy, development, and design decisions. The UX Researcher and Service Designer will be responsible for generating insights, mapping user experiences, and collaborating across teams to design seamless and impactful digital services. Candidates with public sector experience are preferred, as this role supports IT projects for government agencies.

Responsibilities• Review and analyse findings from previous usability testing sessions to identify usability issues and prioritise design improvements.

  • Translate user feedback into intuitive, user-centred interface and interaction designs.
  • Design user flows, information architecture, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes for existing digital products.
  • Improve the overall user experience by simplifying workflows, navigation, accessibility, and visual consistency.
  • Create high-fidelity UI designs that align with established branding and design guidelines.
  • Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and developers to ensure design feasibility and successful implementation.
  • Validate proposed design improvements through stakeholder reviews, usability evaluations, and iterative design refinement.
  • Prepare design specifications and support developers throughout implementation and UAT.
  • Ensure responsive and accessible designs that comply with WCAG and Singapore Government digital standards where applicable.
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or Experience Designer delivering web and digital applications.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design, interaction design, and visual design capabilities.
  • Experience conducting or applying usability testing findings to improve existing digital products.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma (preferred) or equivalent UI/UX design and prototyping tools.
  • Experience producing wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups.
  • Good understanding of information architecture, interaction design, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders in Agile delivery teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to explain design rationale and facilitate design discussions.
  • Experience working on Singapore Government or Public Sector digital projects is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Government Design System (if applicable), WOGAA, or public sector digital accessibility standards would be an advantage.
  • This is a Part-time job for 6 months period.
