In this role, your primary focus will be Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). You'll be the go-to person for the many CDC teams that depend on EDSO for their build and deployment workflows, responding to their needs, unblocking their pipelines, and helping them adopt CI/CD best practices. You'll work closely with platform engineers, product owners, and development teams to automate, optimize, and stabilize the infrastructure supporting CDC's DevSecOps initiatives. You'll explore and test best practices around agentic AI and its potential applications within the EDSO platform to enhance automation and efficiency for our teams and clients. You'll spend your days supporting teams with their CI/CD workflows, managing GitHub Actions runners, resolving pipeline issues, and helping maintain the Terraform-managed AWS infrastructure behind our serverless applications. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, process improvement, and collaborative problem-solving in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for CDC teams needing help with their CI/CD workflows, responding quickly to requests and unblocking their pipelines.
  • Support the EDSO Product Owner in reducing the EDSO backlog according to priorities and timelines identified in JIRA.
  • Coordinate with the EDSO engineering team to implement technical interfaces between EDSO services and other CDC systems requiring CI/CD integration.
  • Help maintain the EDSO AWS infrastructure for our serverless applications using Terraform, ensuring stable and reliable client utilization.
  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot GitHub Actions runners and workflows.
  • Write and maintain Python scripts to automate operational tasks and support CI/CD tooling.
  • Maintain the CI/CD environment to ensure it remains current, secure, and efficient, including proactive updates and issue triage.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, and operations teams to implement best practices for DevSecOps reliability and automation.
  • Explore, test, and document best practices around agentic AI and its potential applications within the EDSO platform to enhance automation and efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering
  • Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and workflows, ideally with GitHub Actions
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform
  • Experience designing and deploying AWS serverless architectures
  • Experience with writing Python from scratch - able to design, structure, and build scripts and small tools independently, not just modify existing code. Candidates should be prepared to discuss specific examples of Python they have written
  • Experience with containerization using Docker
  • Experience using LLMs and automation tools to optimize workflows and processes
  • Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening.
