We're looking for a high-performing DevOps Engineer to perform software engineering and technical O&M support for a large and complex cloud-based computing platform.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in coding, scripting, and collaborating with the end users from external groups as well as partners across the community. You will deploy the environments and tools to support the data science community, creation of standalone applications and services. You will also lead efforts to develop new ways to access the platform in controlled security environments.

Responsibilities:
- Support cloud infrastructure and system administration
- Support system operations and maintenance
- Monitor general system and server health, create solutions where needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Assist with security scans and security accreditation activities
- Perform system account management (managing certificates, system credentials, expiration dates)
- Maintain updated repositories on multiple fabrics
- Manage backup and restore process for core services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Linux including scripting (Bash, Python) and service management
- Experience building and deploying applications in AWS (preferred),
- Azure, or Google Compute Environment
- Experience with deployment automation and continuous integration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (Git, GitLab)
- Experience with code repositories and build/development pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, or Nexus)
- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker,
- Kubernetes, Mesos, or Marathon)
- Experience working with software development teams under source control project environments
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Experience:
- At least 10 years of DevOps / software engineering experience Knowledge of SQL and relational database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS)
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services
- Experience working with distributed databases and streaming technologies, for example, Hadoop, Spark, Yarn, Hive, Trino
- Knowledge of or experience with data science applications such as Python, Anaconda, Jupyter Notebook or NiFi.
