Description

The Architectural AutoCAD-Revit Manager & Project Manager is responsible for the implementation, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of M+A Design's AutoCAD, Revit, and building information modeling standards, processes, and technologies. This role provides strategic leadership and technical support to project teams to promote efficient project delivery, model quality, data integrity, and compliance with firm and industry standards. The position also serves as a key resource for digital design technology, training, and innovation across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement, develop, and maintain firm-wide Revit standards, templates, content libraries, and workflows.
  • Maintain firm-wide AutoCAD standards, templates, content libraries, and workflows while planning for the transition away from AutoCAD.
  • Establish quality control procedures to promote consistency, accuracy, and compliance across project documentation and models.
  • Lead Revit execution planning and support project teams in meeting client BIM workflow requirements.
  • Monitor emerging industry technologies and recommend improvements to workflows and project delivery methods.
  • Champion best practices for BIM workflow utilization throughout all project phases.
  • Manage and administer Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, SketchUp, BIM Collaborate Pro, and other digital design platforms.
  • Coordinate software upgrades, testing, implementation, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology and firm leadership to evaluate and integrate new technologies.
  • Implement and manage Revit and BIM content libraries, project templates, families, blocks, and standards documentation.
  • Oversee licensing and user access for all M+A Design architectural software platforms.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for project teams.
  • Assist with Revit model setup, project standards implementation, and coordination processes.
  • Support interdisciplinary coordination, clash detection, model review, and data exchange workflows.
  • Participate in standards development meetings to establish Revit and BIM requirements and implement them within templates and workflows.
  • Ensure project teams adhere to established standards and delivery requirements.
  • Develop and deliver Revit training programs, materials, workflow guides, and instructional resources for M+A Design staff.
  • Mentor staff in software proficiency and advanced modeling techniques.
  • Assess training needs and create professional development plans related to digital design technologies.
  • Conduct regular audits of project models and documentation.
  • Develop metrics and reporting tools to evaluate Revit and BIM performance and compliance.
  • Ensure model health, effective file management, and adherence to project-specific requirements.
  • Maintain documentation of standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on digital transformation initiatives.
  • Evaluate opportunities for automation through artificial intelligence-enabled workflows and other advanced technologies.
  • Support the integration of BIM with project management, facility management, visualization, and data analytics platforms.
  • Drive innovation that improves productivity, quality, and project outcomes.

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in architectural design and documentation.
  • Three to five years of experience in BIM management, CAD management, or digital practice leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience developing and enforcing BIM standards and workflows.
  • Autodesk Certified Professional credentials.
  • Experience with BIM 360, BIM Collaborate Pro, Enscape, Lumion, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design, construction documentation, and project delivery processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support diverse project teams.
  • Knowledge of multifamily and hospitality building types.
  • Knowledge of wood-frame construction and applicable building codes.
  • Experience with historic renovation and housing tax credits is preferred.
