The Group Product Manager will be required to lead their Product Management Team towards meeting and exceeding corporate goals and objectives. To fully represent the company's ethics and values in all internal policies and customer decisions.
You will make an impact in this role by:
- Set and meet product line sales growth and profitability goals.
- Manage resources to support growth and expansion.
- Forecast and meet group budget and group/product P&L.
- Identify and develop strategic target accounts.
- Support regional sales manager initiatives.
- Manage distributor relations and training initiatives.
- Manage resources to support growth and maintain customer focused sales culture.
- Develop, expand and launch new products.
- Effectively target markets to penetrate and implement through the sales organization.
- Develop and manage price lists, literature and sales tools for product line.
- Develop and streamline internal processes to support growth and improve communication.
- Project management from concept to production and support.
Key skills and attributes include:
- Travel 40% of the time.
- Ability to understand the machines on the mechanical and electrical levels, as well as the ability to quickly learn so that the product can be applied.
- Ability to write detailed specifications for a new product.
- Ability to generate and write test and laboratory reports for customers and suppliers.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that confirm to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to use Accounting software, Database software, Design software, Internet, Project Management software, Spreadsheet and Word Processing.

- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include: Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; Planning, assigning, and directing work; Appraising performance; Rewarding and disciplining employees; Addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Business Acumen: Understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability; Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; Aligns work with strategic goals.
- Cost Consciousness: Works within approved budget; contributes to profits and revenue.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical fellow employees and customers at all levels of business about the responsible project.
Requirements
To be considered for the Group Product Manager role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in Engineering.
- Experience in fluid power and/or product management is a plus.
