About Kamino
Kamino's mission is to create liquidity and utility for every asset. We want the world's best investments to be available through the financial platforms people already trust, and we want investors to be able to borrow against what they own when they need liquidity, instead of having to sell.
Today, the most valuable assets in the world are often the least useful to own. Trillions of dollars sit in private markets, behind high minimums and holding periods that can run for years. Tokenization is starting to move these assets onto shared, programmable infrastructure, but putting an asset onchain is only the first step. To be useful, it still needs distribution, compliance, servicing, credit and liquidity.
Kamino already runs the credit and liquidity engine at scale. It is the largest credit protocol on Solana and the largest credit platform for real-world assets onchain, with more than $650 billion in cumulative transaction volume and more than $20 billion in loans originated.
Now we are building the rest of that system for institutions. Kamino recently named Yieldstreet co-founder Michael Weisz as CEO and is building a new HQ in New York, alongside the asset managers and financial platforms that will shape this market. Almost none of that market exists yet, and we intend to build it.
Lead major product initiatives across Kamino's D2C financial experience and B2B infrastructure.
The role
Kamino is hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead major initiatives across the financial products customers use directly and the infrastructure institutions and partners build on. Your scope spans customer journeys, credit and vault infrastructure, integrations and institutional workflows.
This is a senior, hands-on product role combining product craft, technical judgment and commercial understanding. You will shape priorities with leadership and carry initiatives from customer insight and working prototypes through design, engineering, release and measurement. You will help keep the direct and institutional roadmaps aligned and contribute to scaling the product organization as Kamino’s portfolio grows.
Key responsibilities
- Shape product priorities. Turn company strategy, customer needs and technical constraints into a clear sequence of initiatives across direct financial products and institutional infrastructure.
- Improve the direct customer experience. Own journeys from discovery and onboarding through position management and repeat use, making financial choices and risks clear while improving usability and reliability.
- Build products partners can use and distribute. Translate institutional needs into reusable capabilities, integrations and operator tools, carrying major initiatives through launch and adoption.
- Prototype and validate ideas. Use working prototypes, including AI-assisted development, to test customer and partner workflows before committing to full builds.
- Own delivery and product quality. Lead initiatives from precise requirements through design, engineering, testing and release, resolving technical and risk trade-offs with the relevant teams.
- Stay accountable after launch. Define success and measurement upfront, then use customer feedback and product data to improve, expand or stop the work.
What you bring
- 8+ years in product management, including senior ownership of complex financial products and direct experience building for the U.S. market.
- Direct experience across both D2C financial products and B2B or platform products, with evidence of what you shipped and how customers used it on each side.
- Exceptional product craft and design judgment, demonstrated through consumer financial journeys that improved activation, engagement or retention. You can explain the details you changed and why they mattered.
- Experience building platform capabilities, integrations or operator tools for businesses or financial institutions, with the technical judgment to work deeply with engineers on architecture and integration design.
- Fluency in credit and investment products, including how liquidity and risk should shape product behavior.
- A record of using customer research and product data to shape roadmaps across connected product surfaces and carry complex initiatives through delivery and measurable improvement.
- Excellent written communication and independent judgment. Your product thinking is clear enough for executives, designers and engineers to act on.
- Daily fluency with AI tools and workflows that improve the speed and quality of your work.
STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Direct experience building crypto, digital-asset or onchain products.
- Experience with lending, credit, investing or financial-market infrastructure.
- Experience building products used by financial institutions or embedded inside another company’s customer experience.
- Experience in a lean company where senior product managers stay hands-on from discovery through post-release measurement.
Working at Kamino
You will spend much of your time with Engineering and Design. Product Marketing and Product Data will be close partners on customer insight, adoption, and measurement. Business Development, Risk, and Legal will be involved when the work requires them.
This is a senior, hands-on role. You will set direction for major initiatives and remain close to the work, from customer conversations and product specifications through testing and post-release analysis.
This is a full-time, remote role open to candidates worldwide.
Compensation and benefits
The expected annual base salary range for this role is USD $170,000–$220,000. Kamino expects to offer a competitive package consisting of base salary, a performance-based bonus and long-term KMNO participation.
Final terms will reflect the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and agreed scope of the role.
Benefits and applicable employment terms will be documented as part of the formal offer.
