Your Role
Within the Business Technology and Transformation Team, you are part of an international team across multiple locations. The objective of this team is to improve project governance, to leverage technical synergies across businesses.
Your role will be:
- Design, develop, update and optimize Talend (Data Integration Application) workflows (ETL/ESB).
- Read, interpret and debug Java code generated by Talend to solve complex issues.
- Maintain, refactor and enhance existing ETL pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
- Interact with relevant internal technical stakeholders to obtain information on project limitations, performance requirements, and enhance security as well as identify specific customer needs.
- Interact with internal business stakeholders for support and troubleshooting on reports and document generation.
- Assist the Business Technology Manager in the relationship with external and internal stakeholders (deployment of project delivery, incident - problem - changes analysis).
- Review the applications and recommend specifications, requirements and appraise new ideas. You will define concrete solutions and conceptualize its integration in the existing application landscape.
- Document the technical design, data dictionaries, mapping specifications and the impacts of business processes.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and data orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow, Kestra, Talend Data Fabric)
- Proficiency in XML, JSON, and REST/SOAP web services
- Knowledge of the Luxembourgish security and data privacy framework
- Knowledge of the insurance or fund industry would be an asset
- Experience with Talend job orchestration and scheduling (TAC) would be an asset
- Experience with SAP PI/PO, XML integrations, and SmartCOMM would be an asset
- Take initiative and assess problems autonomously
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to approach challenges with an open mind
- No frequent travelling is needed for this position
