MPS Group, INC., is seeking a Compliance Project Manager to join our team at the Headquarters located in Farmington Hills, MI. This individual is responsible for overseeing and administering the company's environmental compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards across customer sites.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Administer and maintain the Compliance Request System, ensuring timely processing, tracking, and resolution of compliance-related requests.
- Manage and coordinate the ongoing environmental compliance training program for the Environmental Services Group.
- Oversee the site auditing program, including monitoring customer site environmental programs and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards.
- Develop and distribute weekly and monthly communications to employees covering environmental compliance updates, industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- Create and enhance customer operator training materials, including supplemental and specialized training programs as needed.
- Lead the implementation and rollout of new environmental programs designed to strengthen compliance, improve operational performance, and reduce environmental risk.
- Provide support for annual training initiatives, including scheduling, tracking completion, maintaining training records, and coordinating training resources.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field for education.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in RCRA & DOT Compliance.
- Strong communication skills with target audiences of both hourly and management workforce.
- Ability to work well with internal and external customers and interface with agency personnel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Seven years’ experience in manufacturing environment preferably automotive.
- Experience conducting state and federal EPA compliance audits, including waste management and environmental regulatory programs.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Proven experience managing and administering training programs for 150+ employees, including compliance and operational training initiatives.
- Experience developing, coordinating, and managing customer site auditing programs, ensuring adherence to contractual, regulatory, and quality standards.
