Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Component Engineering team, ensuring effective resource planning and successful project execution.
  • Drive the design, development and validation of components, balancing performance, manufacturability, cost and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and support the delivery of innovative engineering solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to support product development and continuous improvement.
  • Benchmarking competitors, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to support continuous improvement and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee engineering processes, methodologies and best practices across the team.
  • Manage departmental resources and budget while ensuring project objectives are achieved.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative team culture that encourages accountability, knowledge sharing and continuous development.

Profile:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in automotive, railway or other complex manufacturing industries.
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering or product development environments.
  • Strong understanding of product design, validation, manufacturing processes and Design-to-Cost principles.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent English.
