This Manager, Product Management role is responsible for defining and delivering visual experience solutions across HARMAN’s automotive display portfolio. This role focuses on creating scalable, modular, reusable and differentiated solution offerings (HW + SW + UX) that align with OEM needs, consumer expectations, and business objectives.
You will act as the common thread across product lines, driving system integration, roadmap alignment, and commercial success of solutions and UIUX features that are common across product lines.
This position reports to Director, Product Management within Strategic Business Unit - Intelligent Cockpit, Product Management Group at HARMAN.
What You Will Do
Solution Strategy & Bundled Portfolio Packaging
Define product roadmap, scope and features for solutions that cut across different product families and manage their lifecycle.
Define TAM/SAM/SOM, MRD and PRD for such features
Define solution bundles (e.g., entry, mid, premium cockpit experiences) with clear feature tiers, variants, and upgrade/downgrade paths and price benefits
Drive platform reuse, modularity, and account for regional customization strategies
Cross-Product Integration & Roadmap Alignment
Manage inter-product dependencies for features that are common across product lines and ensure roadmap coherence and release alignment across product families
Define scope, requirements and maintain model reference costs for these common UIUX features
Drive system-level integration across HW, SW, and UX layers for these common UIUX features, managing technical solution differences for the same feature across product families while maximizing reuse
Drive partnerships, sourcing and manufacturing solutions and decisions including Make & Buy analysis for common features
Define HMI requirements, solution KPIs and acceptance criteria for common features
Drive system level testing and validation readiness and chair cross-component issue resolution
Drive profitability and competitiveness through reuse and optimized content for common features
Customer Engagement & Solution Shaping
Partner with OEMs, Sales, and GTM teams to define bundled solution scope, differentiation, value narrative and trade-offs
Translate OEM visual experience requirements into solution architectures and promote cross-product selling
Define bundled pricing strategies, feature monetization, and business models
Stakeholder Alignment & Management
Act as the central point of alignment across other Product managers, Engineering/delivery teams, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and GTM teams for common UIUX features
Own solution-level demos and reference platforms aligned with roadmap vision
Develop customer-facing narratives highlighting differentiation, scalability, and value.
Resolve trade-offs to optimize portfolio-level outcomes
Manage strategic partners supporting the solutions for these common UIUX features
What Makes You Eligible
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Display Technology, Optics, Physics, or related field
- MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus
Key Skills
- 6-8+ years of experience specially in product management, system engineering, or hardware development related to displays
- Experience in product or solution management within automotive, cockpit systems, or display technologies
- Strong understanding of Software, Hardware & HMI system integration requirements
- Strong ability to connect OEM needs, UX, and business value into scalable solutions
- Proven experience in cross-functional leadership and system-level thinking
- Strong commercial acumen (costing, pricing, business cases)
- Strong understanding of global market requirements for displays and UX
