Senior Data Scientist – Advanced Analytics & AI

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist with 5+ years of experience to join our Advanced Analytics & AI team in Gothenburg.

In this role, you will work on a wide range of data science initiatives, including Advanced Analytics, Analytical AI, Generative AI (GenAI), and Agentic AI solutions, primarily focused on connected vehicle data and digital services.

You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, technical specialists, and business stakeholders to develop innovative, data-driven solutions. The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to take data science solutions from exploration and experimentation through to production and operationalization.

Key Responsibilities

• Explore complex business problems and develop data-driven solutions using advanced data science techniques.

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and analytical solutions.

• Work with large-scale datasets using Python, PySpark, and Databricks.

• Operationalize and deploy data science models and solutions within Databricks environments.

• Develop and contribute to Advanced Analytics, Analytical AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI initiatives.

• Work with cloud-based data platforms and services, particularly AWS.

• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to build scalable and reliable AI solutions.

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business challenges into analytical solutions.

• Explore new tools, technologies, and methodologies within the Data Science and AI landscape.

• Ensure the quality, scalability, maintainability, and operational reliability of developed solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or a related field.

• Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including operationalizing data science models and solutions.

• Experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-based data environments.

• Strong knowledge of data science methodologies, machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.

• Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI), Analytical AI, and Agentic AI concepts and solutions.

• Strong analytical thinking, exploration, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to independently identify problems and build the tools and solutions required to address them.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Business-oriented mindset with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with connected vehicle data or automotive digital services.

• Experience developing and deploying scalable machine learning and AI solutions.

• Knowledge of MLOps and productionizing data science workflows.

• Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and modern Generative AI frameworks.

• Experience working in cross-functional and Agile environments.
