Join the APAC Corporate & Investment Bank Finance Project Management team to deliver business expansion initiatives, including new product launches, branch expansions, strategic system changes, and finance process improvements.

As a Project Manager in the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance Project Management – Business Expansion team, you will bring a finance perspective to complex programs and act as a key representative for Finance. Within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance & Business Management (F&BM) Program Management organization, you will collaborate closely with Finance Controllers, Finance Technology teams, and other business stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and timely outcomes, partnering with Business, Operations, Technology, and other key project stakeholders to deliver a diverse portfolio of initiatives, including new product launches, branch expansions, and continuous finance process improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end project execution across the full lifecycle (initiation, requirements, testing, implementation, and post implementation), ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with project team members, business, operations, and technology partners.
  • Develop project scope documentation, project plans and project schedules and track progress against them.
  • Identify, track, and manage dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests. Implement mitigation and resolution plans.
  • Ensure finance business requirements and target operating models are documented, validated, and formally approved by relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee requirements review, impact assessment, test planning, and UAT execution to confirm solutions meet finance and control standards.
  • Maintain documentation in the project repository and ensure adherence to agreed governance practices.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Relevant project management experience (3years+) across end-to-end delivery, including initiation, governance, controls, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong knowledge of core finance functions; familiarity with business products and applicable regulatory concepts
  • Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and respond effectively to unexpected challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong prioritization skills; able to multi-task and perform under pressure.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience delivering business expansion initiatives (i.e. new product, branch setup/creation, new market entry).
  • Markets product knowledge (e.g., Equities, Swaps, Futures & Options, FX, Rates, Commodities) is a plus.
  • Experience with financial systems; familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools is beneficial.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and proactive professional development.
  • CPA (or equivalent) and/or PMP certification is advantageous.
