Business Analyst (Hybrid, Columbus, OH) Client: Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) Location: 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223 (Hybrid) Position Type: One-year contract with strong potential for extension Experience: 4 to 6 years Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

About the Role

Stealth Entry Cybersecurity Solutions is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the Ohio Department of Public Safety, one of our direct government clients. This is a one-year contract with strong potential for extension, and you will play a key part in leading high-impact initiatives for the agency.

In this role, you will act as the liaison among stakeholders to understand how the organization is structured, how its policies and operations work, and what it needs. From there, you will recommend solutions that help ODPS reach its goals.

This is a hybrid position. You will work onsite at 1970 West Broad Street in Columbus every third day and remotely the rest of the time.

What You Will Do

  • Plan and lead facilitated workshops for requirements analysis
  • Build process workflows using formal notation such as Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
  • Develop Business Requirements, including the project initiation document, expected outcomes, and quality measures
  • Write Functional Requirements that define what the system, process, or service must do to meet business needs
  • Capture and interpret User (stakeholder) Requirements that guide design, development, and test case creation
  • Define Quality of Service (non-functional) requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and usability
  • Create Report Specifications covering each report's purpose, justification, attributes and columns, owners, and runtime parameters
  • Build and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix that tracks each requirement through every stage of the process

What You Bring

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant business analysis experience
  • Working knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and negotiate
  • Experience working with supporting resources across business and functional lines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong meeting and work session facilitation skills
  • Ability to run sessions with non-technical stakeholders and lead requirements gathering on your own, without a project manager or technical expert in the room
  • Solid understanding of how to prioritize system and user requirements during elicitation
  • Strong organization, analysis, planning, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing your time to meet deadlines
  • Clear, understandable spoken and written English

Interview Process

  • A 15 minute introductory interview over Microsoft Teams
  • A full interview onsite with ODPS staff

During the interviews, candidates will be expected to show competence and hands-on experience in the specific areas of the project assignment.
