The Product Marketing Team Structure at Shine
The Senior Product Marketing Manager role sits inside the Global Accounting Tribe (Product) and operate as the product-side counterpart to the German Business Unit Lead (Revenue) — jointly driving market-level revenue outcomes by translating global positioning and product strategy into locally relevant GTM activity, competitive intelligence, and lifecycle outcomes.
Your role as a Product Marketing Manager at Shine
We're looking for a (Senior) Product Marketing Manager to own how Shine's Invoicing & Accounting products reaches, lands with, and grows its customer base in the German market.
Most PMM roles ask you to position one product in one market. This role asks you to do something harder: hold two products in productive tension, protect an established brand while validating a new one, and author the transition story that brings customers from the old world to the new — without losing them along the way.
If you've done this kind of work before — navigating a portfolio, managing a migration narrative, winning in a competitive market mid-transition — we want to talk to you.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Market & competitive intelligence: Size the market, track trends, and continuously monitor the German competitive landscape and global challengers as early-signal proxies. Keep positioning differentiators and pricing benchmarks up to date and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Customer understanding & segmentation: Own the ongoing research rhythm in Germany – from in-app feedback and surveys to user interviews, behavioural data, and CS/Sales debriefs. Use these insights to identify underserved segments and unaddressed use cases.
- Whitespace & opportunities: Quantify new opportunities in a local and global context, surface the most relevant signals for roadmap prioritisation, and partner with PMs on discovery work where market specifics shape what gets built.
- Positioning, offer & go-to-market: Localise global positioning, messaging, and product narrative for the German market. Define segment-specific proof points and competitive angles, shape plan differentiation, value per tier, and upsell triggers, and lead in-market GTM execution for launches, campaigns, and messaging rollouts with hands-on ownership.
- Product presence & lifecycle: Own the product journey from first impression to ongoing engagement: website presence, activation flows, in-app messaging, and onboarding. Drive adoption, retention, and feature awareness tied to usage milestones and be accountable for market-level outcomes.
- Sales & CS enablement: Equip local Sales and CS with sharp, practical enablement: messaging guides, competitive battlecards, objection-handling frameworks, and focused launch briefings that lead to better customer conversations.
