Job Requisition ID: 40889

• Help shape major Federal Government and Defence infrastructure programs across the full asset lifecycle, from strategy and business case development through to procurement and delivery.

• Be part of market-leading projects with global scale and complexity

• Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters

This is an Associate Director opportunity in Deloitte's Infrastructure & Project Solutions team, working with public sector clients on complex, high-impact programs that help shape Australia's future.

What will your typical day look like?

From early-stage strategy through to delivery, you'll lead complex infrastructure and transformation engagements for Federal Government and Defence clients. That could mean shaping business cases, advising on procurement pathways, guiding delivery approaches, or helping clients solve commercial and program challenges across major capital programs.

A big part of the role is building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and turning those conversations into meaningful outcomes. You'll lead proposals and business development activity, bring structure to complex decisions, and help clients move major programs forward with confidence.

This is a role with real breadth and influence. Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary Deloitte teams, you'll lead high-performing teams, support junior colleagues to grow, and play a visible role in shaping both project outcomes and the future direction of the practice.

About the team

Deloitte's Infrastructure & Project Solutions team supports clients to plan, procure, deliver and optimise major infrastructure and capital programs. The team works across the asset lifecycle, helping public and private sector organisations tackle complex delivery challenges, strengthen investment decisions, and achieve better outcomes from major projects. In this role, you'll be particularly connected to Federal Government and Defence work where the scale, complexity and long-term impact are significant.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• Experience leading complex projects, programs or procurements in a client-facing advisory environment

• Strong background in project management across major infrastructure, precinct, civil or capital programs

• Experience working with Federal Government, Defence, or similarly complex public sector environments

• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and leading executive-level conversations

• Commercial acumen, including exposure to project finances, contracts and commercial negotiations

• A collaborative leadership style with a genuine interest in developing teams and mentoring junior colleagues

• A tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, construction or a related discipline

• Australian citizenship, with a current NV1 security clearance or eligibility to obtain one through the AGSVA process
